Our Computer Engineers focus on innovation - making computing systems safer, faster and more powerful. Computer engineering is about hardware and software systems and about getting them to work together efficiently. Computer engineering technologists work within the industry in supportive roles.
In the 2 years Computer Engineering Technology diploma program, you will design, build and program computers, gain skills in the hardware and software aspects of microcomputers and their applications, and receive extensive hands-on training.

Computer Engineering students learn how to develop, prototype, and test microchips, circuits, processors, conductors and any other component used in computer devices or systems (e.g. supercomputers, smartphones, laptops, servers, IoT gadgets). They also develop firmware, an essential type of software that allows operating systems and applications to take full advantage of the hardware.
